SPORTS RUN DOWN OF LAST WEEK BY NATHAN BROWN

Good day beautiful sports fans, life is beautiful and football made it even better. A lot of fantastic games took place during the course of the week from the UEFA champions league to the various leagues across Europe. Lots of talking points as i brief you through it all.

Jose Mourinho:

Manchester united has been unimpressive so far these season,as the gaffer Jose mourinho has always been the topic of discussion for the wrong reasons. Sparking ugly scenes at the club as the fan base has been divided, some blaming the gaffer while others pointing fingers at the board for not backing the manager properly. Another shocking performance on Tuesday during their UCL game against Valencia was pointing to the exit of the gaffer. The visit of Newcastle to old Trafford was on of those games you feel could be a blessing in disguise atleast for rival fans, as a win for united would mean Mourinho's sack was going to be suspended for the main time as the team looks disjointed at the moment with Star players not being treated well by the Portuguese, the likes of Martial, Pogba, and Sanchez playing below par.and with the rumors of Zidane roaming around old Trafford,a Mourinho stay will be much needed, but if united drop points well Mourinho may get the sack but atleast the banter would keep us company these weekend, but Alexis Sanchez had other ideas rescuing 3 points for united after a calamitous first half where united were humbled by Newcastle with two goals, but a Pogba inspired Manchester united ensured our beloved special one remains the manager atleast for now.

Hazard impressive once again:

Its no news that the Belgian wizkid is arguably the best player in the EPL at the moment, passing through defence and adding goals to his game which was a major problem for him some seasons back. Now in these new season under Sarri netting 7 goals and two assist.just what Chelsea fans have been craving for, another fantastic performance against the saints ensure that Chelsea unbeaten record these season remains intact and more worries for the team in the south coast, relegation looks more likely these season unless Mark Hughes changes something real quick.

Arsenal form continues:

The gunners are really impressive so far winning 9 games on a spin, Unai Emery's men are now finding their feet and rhythm as Lacca and Auba causing teams nightmares again, the gunners are currently 2 points behind leaders city, seems like the early signs of chaos is history now

Liverpool held city:

The biggest game of the weekend ended with a really boring goalless draw at anfield.with both side equal on points the game lacked the kind of spark we expected, as both side showing too much respect in the encounter, however things would have been different if Riyad Mahrez converted his spot kick rather than aiming innocent fans, after Virgil van Dike brought down Leroy Sane in the box. But the happier of the two sides should be Liverpool as the Mersey side team has looked fatigued due to a difficult schedule.and the lethal front three lacking the spark they had last season,In my opinion lack of creativity in the middle responsible and yes fatigue, by the way, city has really not been at their best either if you look at their games closely. Well both teams are clearly missing something, but when that is found England should be afraid.

Real Madrid in crisis?

Well let's not all pretend like we never expected Madrid to struggle after losing zidane and ronaldo, then replaced with Leptegoui and Mariano. That's has to be the biggest downgraded in football history since Alex Ferguson to David Moyes era in Manchester united.well Madrid has gone three games without a goal which is a worrying sign has they have also lost three games on a spin. The Spanish faint slummed to a one bill defeat to Alaves on Saturday leaving them to ponder during the course of the international break

Ronaldo assaulting the net again:

The highly rated Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to his rape allegations off the pitch,by assaulting the goals post, lol . Well the Juventus man has been on a good run lately on the pitch as he added another goal these weekend against Undenese  as the troubled star produce another good performance on the pitch, though the rape allegations are still on the Ronaldo, we rather see and support is the one assaulting defenders.
