Hello everyone, my name is Ikeagwu Amarachi, I am thirty six years old and I am a banker and I am based in Port Harcourt which is also where I work. I heard about the blog “girl on a shelf” on radio and learnt that it is a medium for people who need opinion on issues relating to relationship to tell their stories so here I am telling my story.

I met my fiancee two years in Lagos on a bus and we exchanged contact after chatting extensively with each other during our journey from Apapa to Festac, I came for a visit to see my friend Emeka . She was a student of Lagos state university studying mass communication. We started dating and everything was blissful and perfect. Her parents loved me and mine loved her, it was a match made in heaven. Her name is Oge, and we are both from the same state which is Enugu state. After dating for a year and half, I proposed and she happily accepted. Although ours was a long distance relationship, we still managed to create time to see each other and spend time together. As of earlier this year, we have been planning our wedding which is ending of this month but something happened and in order to understand what happened, you all need to understand that  we decided to wait until after marriage to have sex, this is to say that we have not slept with each other since we began dating and this is because according to my girlfriend, she wanted us to save each other till our marriage. I have never for once cheated on her.

My fiancée decided that since she has finished her final exams, she would start transporting some of her stuffs from Lagos to Port Harcourt to make things easier for us after the wedding and I agreed. After a month, she had already transported almost all of her stuffs and we were glad to be a little bit settled before the wedding. A week later, she said that she had to go back to Lagos to settle some issues at school and I gladly accepted. I called later in the evening to confirm if she was safely home and she told me that she was and that she would be staying for three days and I said okay. The next day I tried calling her all through but she wasn’t picking, I called her later in the evening and she told me she was charging her phone because the battery was down. We had a wonderful conversation and I bade her goodnight. I called an hour later to ask her if her mother had been able to get some things that were hard to find that we need for the traditional marriage since I forgot to ask her during our earlier conversation, she picked up the call after the fifth ring and sounded edgy, I asked her if she was okay ad she said she was and after answering my question, she bade me goodnight but as she was about to end the call I heard a male voice in the background telling her to end the call and  come back to bed for some more wild sex.

Please I need your advice and opinion, I love her and she has explained that it was a one time thing and she didn’t mean to cheat on me and that it was the first time she cheated, I know we agreed to wait until after marriage to have sex which is why it hurts me a lot but the wedding is ending of this month and I don’t know if I should go ahead or not please what do I do?
